Chapter 1: The Perfect Life Cracks
Dr. Emily Palmer, a successful cosmetic dentist, had built a life that anyone would envy—an elegant home, a thriving practice, and, as she thought, a faithful husband, Matt. Patients adored her for her meticulous work, transforming smiles one veneer at a time, and Matt, a charming marketing executive, seemed like the ideal husband.
It all started with a forgotten phone—Matt's phone, left on the kitchen counter. As Emily absentmindedly glanced at it while making coffee, a text flashed on the screen: "I can’t wait to show you my new smile, babe. You’ll love it even more in person.
Her heart stopped, her stomach twisted. Emily knew.
Chapter 2: The Betrayal
The days that followed were a blur of disbelief, rage, and icy determination. She started piecing things together. Matt was cheating on her, and the "other woman" was someone named Lexi—blonde, younger, and, from what Emily could glean on Instagram, desperate to reinvent herself.
One rainy Tuesday, Emily was at work when her assistant, Jenny, knocked lightly on the door. "Dr. Palmer, your next patient’s here for a veneer consult. Name’s Lexi."
Emily's stomach dropped. She’d recognize that name anywhere.
Chapter 3: The Unwelcome Patient
In walked Lexi, unaware that her boyfriend’s wife was the one holding the dental drill. She was all bubbly smiles, glossy lips, and an air of oblivious confidence.
“I’m seeing someone new,” Lexi said, her voice dripping with excitement. “He’s amazing, and I want to look perfect for him. Can you make my teeth pop—like, big and white? He loves a dazzling smile.”
Emily stared at her. Matt’s “amazing” girl was now sitting in her chair, asking for her help to seduce him further. The audacity was chilling.
“Oh, absolutely,” Emily said, smiling sweetly. “I can give you the most dramatic smile you’ve ever seen.”
Lexi had no idea just how dramatic that smile would become.
Chapter 4: The "Perfect" Smile
Over the next few days, Emily meticulously planned Lexi's transformation. She ordered custom veneers—a full set, knowing Lexi wouldn’t question her choices. On the surface, everything seemed normal, but Emily had a wicked plan in mind. She would over-reduce Lexi’s teeth, grinding down more enamel than necessary, making her mouth ache with sensitivity. The veneers she designed were too big, too wide—comically oversized. They would cause chronic irritation and discomfort, pushing Lexi to the brink of constant dental agony.
On the day of the procedure, Lexi lay back in the chair, blissfully unaware as Emily shaved away her enamel, laughing to herself about Lexi’s future toothless misery if the veneers were ever removed. The dental office buzzed quietly around them, the soothing hum of drills and suction hiding the malice behind Emily’s actions.
“How are you doing, Lexi?” Emily asked halfway through the procedure, her voice saccharine sweet.
Lexi, mouth full of dental tools, gave a thumbs-up. Emily smiled behind her mask. This was going to be satisfying.
Chapter 5: The Gruesome Reveal
The veneers went on flawlessly—overly large, chalk-white, and bulbous. Lexi looked in the mirror, stunned by her new reflection. At first, she tried to be polite.
"Wow, they’re... big," she said, her voice slightly distorted by the foreign objects now crowding her mouth.
Emily smiled. “Big, bright, just like you asked.”
But as the hours passed, the discomfort set in. By the time Lexi returned for her follow-up a week later, she was in pain—serious pain. Her teeth throbbed. She could barely eat, talk, or even sleep. She looked at Emily with desperate eyes.
"Something's wrong," Lexi whimpered. "I can't live like this!"
Emily feigned concern, all the while enjoying the suffering. "Oh dear, it must just be an adjustment period. These things take time. I'll smooth them down a bit."
She barely did anything to ease Lexi’s agony, letting her stew in misery.
Chapter 6: The Plot Twist
The situation came to a head at the dental office a few days later. Lexi had stormed in unannounced, her usually bright face now haggard and pained.
"I’m done. I want these off," Lexi snarled. "I’m getting a second opinion."
That’s when Matt walked in. He had been summoned by Lexi after her complaints and demands for answers, clearly uncomfortable in this three-way encounter. He shot Emily a guilty look.
Lexi, not connecting the dots, wailed, "Matt! Look what she’s done to me!"
The silence in the room grew heavy. Emily, smiling coldly, let the scene unfold. And then, Lexi’s eyes widened with realization as she glanced between Matt and Emily.
"You... You're his wife?" she gasped.
The truth hit Lexi like a freight train. Emily stood calmly in the eye of the storm, her voice low and even as she said, "Yes, I am. And those veneers? A special touch from me to you.”
Chapter 7: The Final Cut
Lexi stumbled out of the office, furious, but her life was now irreversibly changed. Emily turned to Matt, who looked horrified.
But here’s where things took an unexpected turn.
Emily had already filed for divorce. She’d had enough time to process her betrayal, and this dental disaster was just her form of poetic justice. As Matt tried to stammer out an apology, Emily handed him a small envelope.
“What’s this?” he asked.
“Consider it a parting gift. I’ve made sure all your assets are frozen until this is finalized. And Lexi?” Emily smiled one last time. “I hope she’s worth every sleepless night.”
As Matt opened the envelope, his face turned pale. Inside were photos of him and Lexi, intimate moments that Emily had carefully gathered. But the kicker? They were dated and sent to Lexi’s parents and her employer—just a parting gift from the scorned dentist.
Emily watched him crumble. The veneer of his perfect life, just like Lexi’s, had been ripped away—leaving only raw, painful consequences beneath.
And she, well, she returned to her practice, feeling lighter than ever.
